STERANKO
Rare & Signed Books & Prints

As a musician, art director, magician, photographer, fire-eater, designer, escape artist, filmmaker, pop-culture lecturer, and publisher, Steranko has cut a ferocious path through the entertainment arts. The innovations he created as artist-writer on Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America, and X-Men titles revolutionized the comics form and, as an illustrator, he painted a multitude of book covers, including 30 Shadow paperbacks. Steranko has been associated with Vanguard from the beginning in the early-'90s and has said, "My longtime pal, award-winning author-historian J. David Spurlock and I first connected way back in '72, when I founded and managed Marvel's official fan club, FOOM! And we've had plenty of adventures since — many via his Vanguard Publishing company. Vanguard's Popular artist Sketchbook Series is the most significant in the history of comics."

DOMINO LADY
Complete Collection by STERANKO

From Indiana Jones to The Shadow, he's visualized more classic fictional icons than any other and now he's added another, in a spectacular volume which incorporates four favorite Steranko themes: pulp fiction, noir mystery, art deco, and beautiful women. The painted cover showcases equal parts danger, intrigue, and sex appeal. Each adventure pits the sultry femme fatale against vicious gangsters and secret societies, all of which are captured by evocative Steranko double-page title illustrations. And PREMIERED HERE, he has authored a new epic thriller that reveals the sin-tillating secrets of the Domino Lady's lethal origin for the first time ever! She's the quintessential `30s pulp vixen, a masked manhunter in a noir deco world, right out of a Warner Bros. thriller in a handsome format.
